Hangar49
We talk about different airstrips to visit, the ups and downs of flying in the Pacific Northwest, and all the fun events you can find here! We also like to discuss aviation music, movies, books, and websites. Basically we are just a bunch of fun loving pilots that have a passion for aviation just like you!
But that's not important right now (and don't call me Shirley)

We're Having Technical Difficulties!

This is the second episode of Hangar 49 that was recorded live at the Arlington, WA Fly-in.  We did this show on Friday, July 8, 2011 on the flight line.

Why is it titled, "Technical Difficulties?"  Well, about 50 minutes into our one hour broadcast masterpiece, the power went out for about 30 seconds. EVerything came back on...except the device that was saving the show audio.  We don't know what we said, so we don't know what you'll miss. Just enjoy the show.

Our special guests:

Art Unruh:  B-17 waist gunner in World War Two.  Completed 50 missions.
Nicholas Rider :  Author of America's True Hero's-Volumes 1 and 2  (  http://www.nicholasrider.com )

Movie of the Week:  Pushing Tin

Song of the Week;  Watching Airplanes - Gary Allan

Book of the week:  Scenario-Based Training with X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator: Using PC-Based Flight Simulations based on FAA and Industry Training Standards by Bruce Williams  (Not yet released but you can pre-order at Amazon.  C'mon Bruce, hurry up.  Finish the book!)

----

Starring:  Jim, Al, and Tony.

Philip Randolph-Guest Host
Dale Comer-Engineer
Casey Stewart-Gopher

Eric Utter-Live Show Producer (Where are the lost 11 minutes, Eric?)

Oh...and by the way.  Listen carefully to the first couple of minutes.  Jim is having audio problems...and doesn't realize his playback is about 30 seconds delayed in his earphones.
