Hangar49
We talk about different airstrips to visit, the ups and downs of flying in the Pacific Northwest, and all the fun events you can find here! We also like to discuss aviation music, movies, books, and websites. Basically we are just a bunch of fun loving pilots that have a passion for aviation just like you!

Episode 14 for some reason had us unintentionally talking about aircraft mishaps.

In the news we had a helicopter crash in Spokane off the end of Felts Field: Helicopter crash

We also had a small plane crash in California that hit trolley lines. And we also had a Float Plane crash up in Canada.

Movie of the week: The High and the Mighty

Song of the week: Lee Greenwood, God Bless the USA

Book of the week is the SAS Survival Handbook.

Al tells us about the APRS device that you can use in an emergency to be located. You can read about it on the Pacific Northwest Flying forum.

Website of the week is Alaska By Air.

Amelia Earhart might be getting closer to home. Read about how they think they found her. And I am serious about the crabs!!!! These things are scary!

Until next time, blue skies and tailwinds.
